CVS Caremark Corp. will open a store on the ground level of the Skyscape condo development in downtown Minneapolis.
Woonsocket, R.I.-based CVS plans to open the 10,592-square-foot store in September. The company has bought—not leased—the space.
Skyscape is located at the corner of Ninth Street and Portland Avenue. Chicago-based Tandem Developers completed work on the 27-story, 250-unit tower in May 2007.
"This is a huge amenity for the residents of Skyscape," Tandem Principal Paul Dincin said in a statement. "To be able to get groceries and other items in a convenient location will certainly be a draw."
The Minneapolis office of real estate firm Colliers Turley Martin Tucker represented Tandem Developers in the deal.
